We here at Mulberry Woods Native Plant Nursery and Farm believe that it is hard to improve on the basics of natural nutrients, soil, air, light, and water for properly grown plants. Our plant and farm products are raised with only natural fertilizers and other sustainable products. We do not drench our plants with synthetic chemicals or fungicides, nor do we feed them with a constant drip of chemical fertilizer and water. We also do not grow plants in a non-sustainable peat based medium. Our plants are grown to survive in the real world of your garden, not “juiced” like the plants from big box stores–or like some infamous baseball players (you know who they are).
That’s why we bill ourselves as a sustainable specialty nursery. We also don’t use disposable plastic pots, and we even offer a plastic pot rebate program for our plants which are purchased in our recyclable pots!
What We Sell
We are a mail/internet order and retail by appointment business–not a garden center or a Biggie Depot Mart. All we have is plants! Most plants are currently available for online ordering through our shopping cart–for more information see our Order page. Mail order customers can print our Mail Order Form and order anything they see and like. Our current inventory is now posted on the site, along with up to date information on the sustainable care and feeding of all these plants. Additionally, any plant you see pictured on our site is one of ours. Other sites may love snatching our pictures for their own use, but we don’t include “file” photos of plants that were taken somewhere else. Or finally, you can just pick up your plants at the nursery and receive a discount for sparing them from being boxed and shipped. Just remember our motto:
